"Estate Planning" - arranging a person's property and estate, taking into account the laws of wills and trusts to maximize the value of the estate, minimze estate taxes and expenses, eliminate guardianship, eliminate probate, and carry out the person's wishes for the disposition of their assets.
Who needs a living trust?

Estate planning with a living trust is a good idea for everyone but especially for the following:

1.If you have an estate over $100,000 and want to avoid
probate upon death and avoid property guardianship upon
disability;

2.If you have real estate in multiple states;

3.If you have separate children from previous marriages
(and don’t want your children to be accidentally disinherited);

4.If you are infirmed or elderly;

5.If you are an unmarried couple (including same sex couples);

6.If you are a parent with minor children (including
disabled or special needs children);

7.If you have a large estate and want to avoid federal estate
taxes and Illinois estate taxes;

8.If you have married children and want to protect your
child’s inheritance from themselves or from divorcing spouses or lawsuits.
